I will be clean and honest in my thoughts, my words and my deeds.
Being honest in our deeds means acting with integrity at all times. Our integrity determines not only our own destiny but that of our family, our community and our country.
Lack of integrity is the reason for the rise in crime and corruption in Trinidad and Tobago. Greater policing, more laws and bigger prisons is not the solution to our downward spiral. Trinidad and Tobago need more citizens at all levels in public office, in private business and in the homes who will not be bought or sold just to ‘eat ah food’.
The greatest want of the world is the want of men,–men who will not be bought or sold; men who in their inmost souls are true and honest; men who do not fear to call sin by its right name; men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole; men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall.

A way to see Integrity in Action
To further illustrate what integrity is here is a clip from the movie “Courageous” (2011).
Integrity Is…
Integrity is...
The morals that start your day
The ethics that take you step by step
The soundness from which your decisions come
And the completeness you feel at the end of the day
Integrity is
Honesty that comes from with-in
As your actions also reflect you
Like the faith of a mustard seed
Your honesty will also help you grow
Integrity is
Virtues that work through you
Values that are with you at all times
Consistency of you projecting forth
To be all that He has made of you
Integrity is
A steadfast feeling of going forth
Doing what’s right in His eyes
For He is the one leading the way
Showing you what integrity is
Better you, better me, better T&T
Amen to this!
