Lord, thou hast heard thy servant cry
And rescued from the grave;
Now shall he live; and none can die,
If God resolve to save.
Lord, thou hast heard thy servant cry
And rescued from the grave;
Now shall he live; and none can die,
If God resolve to save.
The Lord appears my helper now,
Nor is my faith afraid
What all the sons of earth can do,
Since heav’n affords its aid
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
Psalm 117 (NKJV) Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles![a]Laud Him, all you peoples!2 For His merciful kindness is great toward us,And the truth of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord! Matthew Henry Bible Commentary This psalm is short and sweet; I doubt the reason why we sing it so often as we […]
What shall I render to my God
for all his kindness shown?
my feet shall visit thine abode,
my songs address thy throne
I love the Lord; he heard my cries,
And pitied every groan;
Long as I live, when troubles rise,
I’ll hasten to his throne.
What shall I render to the Lord
For all His benefits toward me?
I will take up the cup of salvation,
And call upon the name of the Lord
The dead no more can speak thy praise,
They dwell in silence and the grave;
But we shall live to sing thy grace,
And tell the world thy power to save.
Our God is in heaven;
He does whatever He pleases. Their idols are silver and gold,
The work of men’s hands.
When Israel, freed from Pharaoh’s hand
Left the proud tyrant and his land,
The tribes with cheerful homage own
Their king, and Judah was His throne
Who turned the rock into a pool of water,
The flint into a fountain of waters.
Ye that delight to serve the Lord,
The honors of His name record,
His sacred name for ever bless;
