¹¹ For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. ¹² It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, ¹³ while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, ¹⁴ who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

• Our Father in heaven we praise you for your amazing grace toward us, salvation through Christ Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit
• By your grace teach us to deny ungodliness and worldly lust
• Let your grace and mercy inspire us to live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world
• Strengthen our faith as we look for that blessed hope- the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ
• May we, through the sacrifice, resurrection and intercession of Jesus Christ, be purified and redeemed from all iniquity
• Make us eager to do what is good
• Remind us everyday that we are your people
