Open our minds that we may read
More of Thy love in word and deed;
What shall we fear while yet Thou dost lead?
Only for light from Thee we plead.

• Heavenly Father your ways are above our ways; you are all-seeing and all-knowing
• As we meditate on your word and how you have led us in the past, calm our anxious, fretful souls
• We know that you love us and care for us
• You will finish the work that is carried out for your Name’s sake
• At times wicked people will have success in their schemes but you rule the vast universe with truth and justice
• We trust your wisdom and your timing; we lay aside our limited perspective
• We rest in your grace and power to bring forth righteousness now and forever more

Silently now I wait for Thee,
Ready, my God, Thy will to see;
Open my eyes, illumine me, Spirit Divine!
