See what happens to those who despise God and trust in their wealth, and become ever more bold in their wickedness
A broken heart, my God, my King,
is all the sacrifice I bring;
the God of grace will ne’er despise
a broken heart for sacrifice.
LORD, we are vile, conceived in sin,
And born unholy and unclean;
Sprung from the man whose guilty fall
Corrupts his race, and taints us all.
The broken heart is acceptable to God only through Jesus Christ; there is no true repentance without faith in him
Create in me a new, clean heart, O God, filled with clean thoughts and right desires
When Christ to judgment shall descend,
And saints surround their Lord,
He calls the nations to attend,
And hear his aweful word
Call upon me when trouble’s near,
My hand shall set thee free
Then shall thy thankful lips declare
The honor due to me.
The Lord, the Judge, before his throne
